Rugby

Rugby was a great way to work through my rage and confusion with the added benefits of physical fitness, world travel and alcoholism.  My spirit animal and life coach Ned Bacchus taught school, wrote a book, sings in a band and moved to Maine.  That's the way to do life.

Find someone who is living the way you want to live and learn from them.

Mentor energetic youngsters into making the best choices they can as they struggle to find their path.

Don't take any shit from your boss, there are better jobs out there, but if you are stuck in one of life's economic  traps make the best of it but always be planning an escape.

Like Papillion.  The greatest movie ending of all time!  "Hey you Bastards! I'm still here!"

Always have an exit strategy and a future plan because that makes life worth living.
Build something, stave off chaos for one more day.
Chaos is going to win.
If you don't believe me get a job teaching school in the inner city and watch polite society beginning to crumble before your very eyes.  It's like a front row seat to the Fall of the Roman Empire!

Rugby allowed me to face my fear of pain and replaced it with a fear of failure.  My natural peaceful Neanderthal personality characterized by avoidance of pain and  over respecting of power was replaced by duty to a group of friends and my emergence as a bullying asshole to becoming someone that was eventually was avoided by seemingly tougher men.

What a trip.
Ned said to write a book and even suggested a title.

The homework assignment for this page is to find a likely spot and start to plan a weekend rugby event fundraiser for charity country camp-out music weekend with a special Irish coffee breakfast.
I have a couple charities in mind but I am FOR SHIT at organizing things.  See www.zombiebukowski.blogspot.com to see how crappy an organizer I am.

Family friendly, raising money for youth rugby, probably the AJ foundation and maybe one other cause, like music programs in the innner city.

My homework is to find a school that wil let me come in and try to write songs with some kids on a part time basis and maybe pay me for my time?

If I have to start a foundation to do this kind of work I will...

If people do their homework that is.......
